Yes, indeed, there were over 19,000 covers done by Pen and Pixel from 1992-2002. The company grew at a rate over 500% a year and was responsible for 2.4 billion dollars in record sales. Pen and Pixel also won 85 Platinum and Gold RIAA awards as well as the Source music award and countless other accolades. The company is no longer in business but you can still get great information on blogs like this. Let me know if you would like any more info.

Rascalz are a hip hop group from Vancouver, British Columbia, who played a crucial role in the artistic and commercial development of Canadian hip hop. The group consists of MCs Red1 and Misfit, and DJ Kemo.

Formed in 1989, the group released an independent album for Calabash Records in 1992. The album, Really Livin’, was recorded under the name of Ragga Muffin Rascals. The re-worked major label recording was released the following year in 1993 by Sony Music Canada. The album was nominated for Best Rap Recording at the 1994 Juno Awards. The group moved to BMG Canada in 1997 to record Cash Crop, followed by Global Warning in 1999 and Reloaded in 2002. In 2007, Red1 released his first solo album, Beg For Nothing.

dedicating this video right here to birdapres

i painted this piece for a friend who saw the original hanging on my wall(featured in ‘that’s my werd’ ep. 02). he asked to buy the original but i offered to recreate one for him. well here it is, the timelapse action of me painting. my ode to a vancouver landmark lost.

found in the vancouver sun

Drive-in burger joints and neon signs have been going steady since the ’50s. And in Vancouver, the perfect match was at Wally’s Burgers at 2703 Kingsway.

Countless motorists have passed by Wally’s classic sign, a kitschy red and green neon jumble that soared three storeys. Countless burger aficionados have chowed down on Wally’s Deluxe Wagon, a double patty monster on which you’re encouraged to pile on most anything you could ever dream of (including a hot dog).
Quality burgers have been Wally’s forte since an Austrian immigrant named Wally Stritzel started the restaurant in 1962, taking over from another burger joint called Harvey’s.
